Srinagar, Sep 03 (KNO): Director of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA), Dr. Owais Ahmed Wednesday oversaw the ration supply situation in flood-affected areas of Kashmir and visited multiple depots to ensure uninterrupted availability of essential commodities.
He said that teams have been traveling to various ration depots since morning, taking stock of supplies.
“We are well-equipped with everything, at least for the next six months, in case of any contingency. Our team is on the ground, constantly monitoring for any issues,” Dr. Owais Ahmed told reporters, according to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).
He further assured that advance ration for September has already been allotted and distributed to residents. “In case of an emergency, we will ensure our stores are well-stocked, preventing any disruption in providing ration to the people,” Dr. Ahmed added.
Meanwhile, FCS&CA officials stressed that all precautionary measures are being taken to maintain smooth supply lines amid rising water levels and ongoing flood warnings in parts of the Kashmir Valley—(KNO)
